NLP is like a manual for the brain. Our brain can be likened to a computer. When a habit or behaviour no longer serves us, we need to change it or delete that old habit and replace it with something that better serves us.



 

NLP is a relatively new science which was created by a mathematician & a linguist in the early 70s. It can be an extremely useful tool for positive change & healing.

NLP is the study of excellence. In NLP we copy or model how someone thinks and behaves when they achieve to a high level. How does a top athlete think and behave that's different to someone who doesn't achieve at their level? How does someone think who naturally recovers from an illness? This information was created into a series of techniques or processes & called Neurolinguistic Programming or NLP.

Roger Bannister broke the four minute mile in 1954. Prior to his great achievement the four minute barrier was considered humanly impossible. It was believed that no one could break it without causing significant damage to their health. Bannister who was a medical student at the time questioned this belief saying " it didn't seem logical to me ..." His belief that it was possible to break through that barrier was essential in allowing him to achieve his goal.

Sports people employ a coach to help them achieve their goals. In a similar way I help people achieve their goals by utilising the power of their minds. These goals might be health goals, emotional goals or practical goals. I work with people who want to change, who want to improve their lives & who want to take responsibility & charge of their own life.
